Discover Our Class Types: What They Mean for Your Training

Television screen displaying a workout plan for Monday, July 15th, focused on kicking, strength, and core exercises, including warm-ups, HIIT rounds, and a kicking combo of the week.

We’re excited to introduce our class types, designed to give you a rotation of movement and intensities. With our weekly focus (like Balance Week or Kicking Week) and the addition of a new class type, your workouts are guaranteed to be varied, balanced, and effective. Whether you train on the same days each week or mix it up, we’ve got you covered.

Variety is the spice of life, after all! Mixing things up with different types of movements keeps our workouts fresh and engaging. While we love kickboxing, incorporating strength training, core work, and flexibility exercises is key to a well-rounded fitness routine.

So, what are the class types and what do they mean for you?

Basics & Foundation

These classes focus on the essentials: stance, simple techniques, and footwork. It’s all about building a strong foundation.

  • What it means for you: This is a great time to revisit the basics. Keep your guard up and maintain proper stance throughout all movements. Perfecting the fundamentals sets you up for success in more advanced techniques.

Strength & Core

In these classes, we incorporate resistance training equipment like medicine balls, bands, and dumbbells to build strength. Techniques will emphasize power and core engagement, essential for kickboxing.

  • What it means for you: Grab your weights (classes are designed for 5lbs or lighter) and prepare for a workout that focuses on muscle recruitment with a slower cardio pace. This is your chance to build strength and power.

Endurance & Stretching

This class type focuses on speed and endurance. You’ll keep moving throughout the workout and finish with a solid 5 minutes of stretching.

  • What it means for you: Pace yourself and stay light on your feet. The stretches at the end are great to incorporate into your routine at home, helping improve flexibility and recovery.

Performance & Flow

Designed to enhance your fluidity and transition between movements, these classes feature more combos and complex techniques.

  • What it means for you: Find your own flow and focus on smooth transitions and efficiency. Pay attention to what movements feel natural and work on creating seamless sequences.

Special Set Types: Flex, Pulse, and Beats

Alongside our main class types, you’ll also encounter fun and dynamic sets like Flex, Pulse, and Beats. These pop-ups bring extra variety and excitement to your routine, based on what you’ve loved in our classes.

Embrace the Variety and Keep Moving!

We hope you enjoy these changes and continue to find joy in every workout. Our goal is to make each class fun, dynamic, and the most enjoyable way to move your body. Here’s to staying strong, flexible, and empowered!
